FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does Attachment W create accommodation rights or assign activities?

No. It governs separation, disposal, and management of all waste streams, including dedicated collections, and protects any composting system. It grants no accommodation, stay, tasks, shifts, employment, internship, or volunteering.

Where must batteries, medicines, WEEE, lamps, oils, or other waste subject to dedicated collection be disposed of?

Only through the containers, collection centres, or authorised channels designated for the relevant stream. They may not be abandoned, burned, mixed with residual waste, or placed in compost. Local instructions and those of the competent authority prevail where more restrictive.

Does inclusion of Attachment W authorise use of the composter?

No. Access to the composter requires express activation of the corresponding Configuration selection and compliance with the applicable safety conditions. Without activation, only disposal according to the notified instructions is allowed.

Who must expose and retrieve the external bins?

The two alternative Configuration selections determine this. Under centralized management the Signatory only separates waste and delivers it correctly to internal points; under autonomous management they assume exposure, retrieval, and care only for the identified scope and once the current schedule is available.

Do the stated colours and times remain valid forever?

No. They are an operating snapshot verified on 13 July 2026 for SAT Zone B. Labels, the SAT App, the actual zone, and later official notices prevail prospectively without making new penalties retroactive.

Can an internal plan authorize paper burning or glass retention?

It cannot authorize waste burning or reclassify material by declaration. Before discard, it may organize the safe reuse of specified items, such as intact glass containers, only through a written, traceable, lawful plan. Fires and combustion appliances remain outside Attachment W authorization.

When may technical operations or compost use be activated?

Only where composter access is active first. The Assigned Operations and Compost Use selections are valid only together with that access; an incompatible Configuration must be corrected before the document is generated.

What safeguard applies to a minor signatory?

Selecting the Safeguard Regime disables composter access, technical operations, and compost use. Only general separation rules and safety prohibitions remain.

Which materials may enter the organic stream?

Only materials expressly permitted by the text and updated instructions. Plastic, glass, metals, healthcare waste, chemicals, mineral oils, treated wood, and other contaminants remain excluded.

How are penalties and costs applied?

Only for specified, documented, and attributable conduct, with reasons and an objection procedure under Attachment F. Additional costs must be direct, due, causally connected, and reasonably quantified.

Is an authority fine charged automatically?

No. Public liability and sanctions are determined by the authorities. Any Company recourse requires a legal basis, a due and documented amount, and the objection procedure under Attachment F.
