The Luna Laboratory is planned as ColivingLiguria S.r.l.’s integrated research and light-manufacturing infrastructure: a place for repeatable measurements, reviewed prototypes, controlled assembly, and—only after the required gates—small-series production.

One company, one traceable perimeter

Luna is a ColivingLiguria S.r.l. product programme, not a separate company. It can share the organisation’s base, skills, and processes while preserving legal, accounting, and safety controls.

One laboratory, three environments

Research and metrology, fabrication and assembly, and carefully screened field-test areas form one evidence chain from the bench to a possible small series.

A building still to be enabled

A property within the current ColivingLiguria base will be selected only after checking availability, permitted use, systems, fire prevention, ventilation, access, and workplace safety.

A shared base becomes a complete evidence chain.

Luna belongs formally to the same S.r.l. and can draw on ColivingLiguria’s operating base without pretending that every property or system is already a qualified laboratory. The specific building will be named only after the legal, technical, and safety checks are closed.

Research and metrology

Instrumented bench tests for lift, mass, tether loads, optics, thermal behaviour, envelope sealing, sensors, telemetry, and controlled failure modes.

Each result carries configuration, calibration, conditions, raw data, acceptance criteria, deviations, and reviewer.

Fabrication and assembly

Additive manufacturing, membrane preparation and sealing, electronics soldering, assembly, quality control, repair, and traceable material storage.

The sequence is coupon, subsystem, confined integrated prototype, technical pre-series, then a possible controlled small series.

Field-test areas

Private areas in the ColivingLiguria property portfolio may be screened campaign by campaign, from generally level ground to more isolated locations.

Private land never makes an aerostatic test automatically lawful: airspace, obstacles, people, weather, lighting, ecology, fire, access, and emergency response remain separate gates.

Additive manufacturing

A procurement brief before a purchase.

The printer is planned as core laboratory equipment for coupons, jigs, mounts, housings, assembly aids, and selected prototype parts. No model is declared purchased or selected: commercial specifications must survive benchmark prints, metrology, safety review, service checks, and a current quotation.

Layer height is not dimensional tolerance, and a translucent filament is not proof of optical transparency. Repeatability, warping, thermal performance, joints, emissions, and light behaviour will be measured on the actual process.

Inte-012 · Laboratory internship

Plan the space, the workflow, and the safe commissioning.

The dedicated internship covers the complete laboratory project: requirements, spatial layout, R&D–fabrication–assembly flows, 3D-printer and equipment placement, field-test interfaces, procurement evidence, commissioning gates, and the handover of a usable operating dossier.

Outdoor validation

The land is a candidate. Safety decides.

Generally level land can support controlled geometry and instrument access; more isolated areas may reduce third-party exposure. Neither is automatically suitable. Woodland can be excluded by slope, wildlife, night-light impact, emergency access, vegetation, or wildfire risk.

Public finance

Experience is an asset. Funding is never automatic.

ColivingLiguria has documented experience in preparing and managing public-finance dossiers. In a separate beneficiary perimeter, a FESR 1.3.3 measure recognised 60% of the admitted expenditure of an approved programme. That precedent proves operating capacity; it neither transfers the aid to ColivingLiguria S.r.l. nor guarantees Luna’s future building works, equipment, or consumables.

The official call sets a 50% ordinary rate and 60% only for priority sectors, always on eligible admitted expenditure. For Luna, a percentage will be published only after the beneficiary, call, cost item, accumulation rules, application status, and award decision are identified.
