Plain-language guide

Health cover depends on your route, not on one universal rule.

Attachment H is used when the applicable package needs to coordinate emergencies, accessibility, accepted support, or coverage evidence. It does not itself create a visa or insurance requirement, replace the competent authority, or guarantee policy validity or claim payment.

Who it applies to

Only to a person and relationship for which one of these details is relevant. If no requirement applies, Attachment H does not invent one; if one applies, only the minimum necessary evidence is collected.

01

Already covered in Italy

If you are registered with the Italian National Health Service or hold another valid coverage instrument, Attachment H records only the relevant minimum details. It does not ordinarily request a health-card copy.

02

EU, EEA, or Swiss temporary stay

A valid EHIC/TEAM gives access to medically necessary public or contracted care under the conditions applicable in Italy. It does not automatically cover private care, planned treatment, rescue, or repatriation and is not travel insurance.

03

Uniform Schengen visa

Only if Article 15 applies to your application must travel medical insurance be valid for the required territory and period and cover medical repatriation, urgent medical attention, emergency hospital treatment, or death, with minimum coverage of EUR 30,000.

04

National visa or stay over 90 days

Do not automatically transplant the EUR 30,000 rule. Coverage depends on nationality, purpose, and residence instrument: some routes involve compulsory or voluntary National Health Service registration, while others may require a policy matching consular instructions.

Traineeships · three separate layers

Personal healthcare, workplace accident cover, and liability are not the same cover.

01

Personal healthcare

Concerns access to healthcare during the stay. EHIC, the Italian National Health Service, or travel insurance does not automatically prove workplace-accident cover for the traineeship.

02

Workplace accidents

Under the applicable framework, the responsible entity, INAIL activation or another cover expressly accepted by the competent party, insured person, activities, work travel, territory, and period must all be verified.

03

Third-party liability

Must cover damage caused by the trainee within the applicable activity and project. A family or private policy is only evidence to review until the insurer and promoting entity confirm the relevant scope in writing.

04

No automatic equivalence

The labels “accident”, “travel”, “Erasmus”, or “private liability” do not by themselves replace Italian obligations. Complete documents and confirmation from the competent party on the framework actually applied are required before the start.

Minimum traineeship-insurance record

  1. Identify the applicable framework and the single selected host to which the coverage must relate.
  2. Record the insurer or administrator, insured person, evidence reference, activities and work travel, territory, and entire period.
  3. State, for accident and liability cover, the relevant limits, deductibles or retentions, exclusions, and claim-notification and handling procedure.
  4. Identify the verifier, verification date, cost bearer, and evidence deadline; where alternative, private, or foreign cover is proposed, also obtain the reference for the competent party’s written acceptance.

Two different responsibilities

Who decides what is required?

State and competent authorities

The consulate, border authority, police immigration office, local health authority, and applicable rules determine entry, visa, stay, and healthcare requirements. Conditions are case-specific and may change.

ColivingLiguria

Records only the evidence required by the applicable relationship through the protected channel. It does not issue visas, certify policies, replace the health authority or consulate, or provide medical care.

Before uploading a document

  1. Use the Foreign Ministry portal and the competent consulate’s instructions to identify your route; for National Health Service access, check with the Ministry of Health or local health authority.
  2. If a policy is required, verify in writing the covered person, period, territory, insured events, limit, exclusions, and assistance or reimbursement process.
  3. Upload only the minimum required evidence through the private area. Do not send medical records, full diagnoses, or card copies through chats, public email, or repositories.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does healthcare coverage depend only on citizenship?

No. The route also depends on duration and purpose of presence, competent State, SSN or EHIC status, visa or permit, applicable agreements, and authority instructions. Citizenship is recorded separately from the effective coverage instrument.

What is the difference between a legal requirement and the Contractual Health Standard?

The public-law requirement is imposed by law or the competent authority. The Contractual Health Standard is an independent condition that applies only where the contract configuration makes it mandatory: it requires continuous coverage actually usable in Italy for urgent care and hospitalization, without presenting itself as a universal legal duty.

Does civil-liability or INAIL insurance replace personal health coverage?

No. Civil liability covers risks to third parties and INAIL operates only within its occupational scope. Neither replaces personal coverage for illness, accident, urgent care, medical transport, and emergency hospitalization required by Attachment H.

Does private, foreign, travel, or Erasmus+ insurance automatically replace INAIL and traineeship liability cover?

No. It may be relevant evidence only where it actually covers the person, the host where necessary, every activity and journey in the Individual Training Plan, the territory, and the entire period. The party guaranteeing the cover and the applicable legal framework must also be confirmed in writing. If the Liguria extracurricular-traineeship rules apply, the promoting entity must guarantee INAIL and third-party liability cover; private insurance is not unilaterally treated as a substitute.

When does the EUR 30,000 limit apply?

For a uniform Schengen visa, Art. 15 of the Visa Code applies. Separately, ColivingLiguria adopts EUR 30,000 as its contractual minimum for a primary or supplementary private policy, subject to a higher public minimum. That amount is not extended as a legal duty to the SSN, EHIC, or other public instruments.

May I upload insurance certificates or medical reports in the private area?

Insurance certificates may be uploaded only through the Protected Channel. Clinical reports remain disabled by default and are allowed only for a defined purpose, with a documented legal basis and Art. 9 GDPR condition, where necessary and no less intrusive alternative exists. They must never be uploaded to Git, public folders, or unmanaged chats.

Does ColivingLiguria provide care, administer medicines, or offer continuous supervision?

No. ColivingLiguria is not a healthcare, social-healthcare, care, long-term-care, or protected-residence facility. It does not provide diagnosis, treatment, personal assistance, clinical management, or continuous supervision. Logistical support exists only where specifically described and accepted in writing.

Must ordinary autonomy be selected in the configuration?

No. It is Attachment H's ordinary organisational setting and is neither a diagnosis nor medical certification. Only particular needs, accessibility measures, or external support requiring assessment are selected. Disability, illness, or a temporary need for help does not automatically lead to exclusion or termination.

Does disability, diagnosis, or illness result in termination or Blacklist entry?

No. Health, disability, treatment, pregnancy, chronic illness, or use of aids does not by itself constitute breach. Only concrete functional compatibility and reasonable measures are assessed. Blacklist entry or sanctions may concern only independent, documented, and proportionately relevant conduct, never the health fact itself.

What happens if continuous assistance becomes necessary?

In an emergency, emergency services are activated first and clinical decisions belong to healthcare professionals. If continuation steadily requires services ColivingLiguria does not provide and no safe external plan exists, the Company records the incompatibility, considers practicable measures, arranges a reasonably safe transition, and may suspend affected permissions or use Term2 under Attachment T.

May personnel enter a non-open space during an emergency?

Only where an emergency is visible or reasonably suspected and entry is necessary and proportionate to avoid or verify a current danger. It is not a general inspection right; where possible, access is performed by two people and recorded.

What must a minor's representative complete?

They must confirm daily autonomy, accepted health coverage, emergency contacts and instructions, a reachable adult, and any foreseeable external support without duplicating unnecessary diagnoses. Until the plan is complete, the minor's physical permissions remain suspended and Attachment B prevails.

Does the Company guarantee that a policy will settle a claim?

No. The Company may check apparent completeness, dates, and the protected reference, but does not guarantee insurer solvency, interpretation of exclusions, or claim settlement. Emergency services are not delayed because costs are uncertain.
