FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can I smoke in my room or in the common areas?

No. Smoking is prohibited inside all buildings. A documented and attributable breach may trigger the €100 contractual penalty under the notice and challenge procedure in Attachment F. Cigarette butts must never be discarded on the ground.

Is smoking prohibited in every outdoor area?

Not by default. The Configuration may activate a prohibition for specifically identified outdoor areas. Elsewhere, smoking must still avoid nuisance, hazards, littering, and breaches of public rules.

Why are there so many 'Danger' stickers and signs?

These signs mark systems, confined materials, or areas presenting safety risks. It is strictly forbidden to tamper with them. Intentional or grossly negligent conduct creating a serious concrete risk may constitute an Event of Serious Breach; precautionary suspension and any final measure follow Attachments T and F and are not automatic.

Can I use the wood stove in my room whenever I want?

Only during the 'Thermal Season' (winter). It is strictly forbidden to light fires during summer or when the central heating is off. Also, you must only burn the wood provided by the Company; burning plastic or paper is dangerous and contaminates the ashes used for gardening.

What is the '1-meter rule' for stoves?

To prevent fires, you must never leave any combustible material (clothes, plastic, paper, furniture) within 1 meter of a stove or fireplace. This rule applies even when the stove is off during winter. Violation results in a €100 penalty.

How do I handle my trash?

Waste rules are not configured by Attachment C. Attachment W is the sole contractual source for waste separation, organic streams, any composter restrictions, and related operational duties, and it always applies to packages involving physical access. Consult the current municipal instructions as required by Attachment W; no category or informal instruction authorises technical composter operations.

Can I bring my own electric heater?

Generally, no. Devices consuming more than 2kW (like electric heaters or portable A/C) are forbidden without written authorization, especially if the central heating or wood stoves are available. Unauthorized use triggers a €100 penalty plus the cost of electricity.

Will the staff enter my room for inspections?

Yes, the Company has the 'Right of Verification'. We can check the status of the equipment and spaces with at least 24 hours' written notice. In case of emergencies or safety risks, access may be immediate.

Can I invite a friend to stay over for one night?

Only where the applicable access rules and any separate real-estate instrument permit the visit. Introducing an unauthorised person may justify immediate precautionary access measures and, where seriousness is documented, may constitute an Event of Serious Breach under Attachment T. Termination and deposit deductions are governed separately by Attachments T and F and are never automatic solely because an allegation exists.

What happens if I lose the keys to my room?

You must notify the Company immediately at colivingliguria@pec.it. Losing keys or damaging locks is a violation that results in a penalty, and you will be charged for the full cost of replacing the locks and key sets for security reasons.

Can I rearrange the furniture in my room?

Moving major furniture or the wood stove is strictly forbidden. For small changes, you must request permission via the Company PEC. Any unauthorized modification to the space is a breach of the 'Conservation Manual' and can result in penalties.
